My Sewing Corner and a Few Good Books

Hello friends! I've been very inspired by sewing and quilting lately because my sewing machine finally arrived! (I'm dying to sew a few skirts. I could use a few in my wardrobe). I have very little time for it at the moment, but I've set up my machine in it's own little corner. Plus I found a few lovely inspiring books that I wanted to share with you.

Story Quilts Through the Seasons by Yukari Takahara was a spontaneous buy. It's gorgeous! I'm loving appliqué, it's my first go at the technique. Several days ago I enlarged this embroidery pattern and am in the process of creating a mini quilt out of it. I'll be using Free - Motion Quilting by Angela Walters to quilt my mini quilt with a woodgrain pattern.

The last book is All Sewn Up by Chloe Owens. It has the most adorable layout and graphics. Plus the projects are super cute, easy, and illustrative.
