How to Stitch Couching - Video

This weekend I'm introducing Couching. If you've never used this stitch read on!

Firstly, couching is great when covering thick lines. You know, the ones you get when the iron-on-transfer moves while ironing. Hide it with couching. It can also be very delicate by simply changing the amount of floss. For a thick stitch, couch about twelve strands of floss. For a small and delicate area couch four strands... Check out the leaf in the picture below. It measures about a 1/4 inch wide and 3/4 inch long.

Use two contrasting colors to make the couching pop. Or use the same color for a subtle look (Which is how I stitched the mushroom cap in this project).

Try it out!
